Reflection
Through ETEC 510 and ED P 520 courses, I learned that research plays a critical role in the program, and it will be something that I will continue to carry through my educational technology profession. Two artifacts are highlighted from ETEC 510, in which they both allowed me to understand the theoretical perspectives in educational technology. In the article critique assignment, I researched and analyzed articles that had different methodological approaches to see if the studies were reliable. With the information that I learned about critiquing articles, I applied the same process in my literature review, where I evaluated research materials to see if they would support my topic. Furthermore, with the information that I learned from ETEC 510 about reviewing, interpreting, and applying research, I had another occasion to demonstrate my knowledge when I wrote a final research proposal in ED P 520. In ED P 520, I strengthened my understanding of critiquing, choosing, and integrating research.
